We offer a variety of services to edit your digital photo's from simple touch-up's (including red eye reduction and colour and light adjustments) to much more complex activities such as photo restoration. To view samples of this work, click here. We also have the facilities to scan in old 35mm and slides and convert them to the digital format of your choice. For bulk emails (orders of over 40MB or 100 photos, it may be necessary for the photo's to be posted directly to us to save on bandwidth restraints).
We have a multitude of different software packages that perform different tasks and also capable of very graphical and memory intensive effects therefore it may be necessary for files to be delivered to you by mean other than email. We will advise you on the best, most effective way of returning your pictures when we quote you on your order. We can also add all your digital photos to a video slideshow with effects of your choice and export them to either a video CD / DVD and /or email the video to you to forward on to all your friends and family.
Note: Please ensure any pictures you send us are of your own creation and you own the copyrights to them. We will not process any material that is not your own and the files will be returned to you and / or deleted from our system.
As with all the services we offer, our web site creation offers the ultimate in customer customisation so that we create a unique website to your specification. All we require is the text you want to be displayed on each page and any images you wish (please ensure the content is your own and that you own the copyright to all media you provide as we will not publish your material other wise.) If you have any ideas on colour schemes or the layout you would like then let us know, if not, we can create the entire website for you. Upon request we can also provide you with all source code and formatting so that you can make any alterations you like and see for yourself the steps to create the site.
We can also upload your website to your own domain for an extra fee. Or, if you do not own a domain, we can help you to purchase a new domain and hosting package from the many companies on the web such as easyspace and weycrest.

A basic website of approximately five pages or less with no complex scripting or images could cost as little as £100, whilst prices for more complex websites featuring order forms, pages with multiple frames and multimedia (such as flash intro's or 'splash' screens) start at £200.
We also offer a return discount to customers who have made a successful order previously with us, just quote your previous job number and we will apply the discount. (Discount applies to both new orders and updating of previously made websites and maintenance.)
Most people have whole bookshelves of old VHS videos and home videos stacked up on their shelves at home. Not only do they take up a lot of space, but old VHS Cassettes are much more vulnerable to magnetic interference and after approximately ten years of storage, it is possible that the data they contain becomes distorted and in worse cases, lost forever! However Hawkins Computing has a solution! We can convert your old VHS Cassettes onto modern, digital DVD's along with movie style menu's and chapter selection. A three hour VHS can be transferred onto a single DVD at the equivalent quality rating. We can also add any text, pictures or video effects you wish, as well as adjusting light and colour levels to restore old videos. Completed DVD's and your original media will be returned to you as soon as the work is completed via 1st class post or a courier of your choice.
We also have the facilities to convert from other media include mini-dvd's and miniDV tapes. Other services available include DVD copying (proof of ownership may be required) and audio conversion from tape cassette to audio CD (including MP3) or audio DVD.
Just got back from holiday? Want to play back all your videos and pictures through any TV with a dvd player? Send us all your digital photo's (either by email or posting your flash card) and video, and we will compile a complete DVD (including full size DVD case and labels) with everything you desire as well as text overlays, transitions, and an array of other effects (available upon request). We will guide you during the creation of your project of all the information we require to edit your videos precisely the way you want.
We can also edit, manipulate and burn to DVD, new HD (High Definition) footage however this depends on hardware restraints and volume of data. (You may be charged for temporary storage space) Contact us for more details.
Don't want to mess around with editing and special effects? We can conduct a straight forward conversion without any menu screens or colour correction. Prices start as low as £30* to convert a three hour VHS onto DVD.

Don't let a virus or hardware malfunction destroy all your cherished digital memories. We can guide you through all the steps to help maximise your computer's security and prevent harmful files or other users accessing your computer over the internet. And, if things do go wrong, we will provide you will all the help we can to recover your pc. We can also remove and install new hardware or software to your computer (such as the latest Microsoft Operating System, Vista).
Some of this work can be conducted remotely, however in some cases it may be necessary to have direct access to your computer; this may involve either us coming to you directly or for you to ship your computer to us. (Contact us for details and a quote)
